Understanding how multiple trading accounts under different credentials count as separate connections.

In Tradesyncer, a connection refers to the link between our platform and a set of trading accounts that are managed under the same broker or platform login credentials. If you have multiple trading accounts under one broker login, they are all grouped and managed under a single connection.

To clarify:

If you purchase multiple trading accounts from the same provider and manage them with a single set of login credentials on per example Tradovate, they will count as one connection. All accounts associated with those credentials are handled as a unified group. However, if you acquire additional accounts from another provider or platform under another Tradovate account with different credentials this would be a separate connection.

Example:

  • If you have 3 accounts from prop firm A with a broker like Tradovate under one set of login credentials, it counts as one connection.

  • If you buy more accounts from prop firm B also on Tradovate, this would be a separate connection.

In this case, you would have two separate connections, one for each set of credentials, even though both use the same platform.
