A connection is the login to a broker or trading platform that allows you to manage multiple trading accounts. To establish a connection with Tradesyncer, simply add the necessary credentials or use OAuth for authentication.

If you need to add a connection, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Navigate to the "Connections" page
In the main menu, click on "Connections" to access the connections page.

Step 2: Open the "Add Connection" pop-up
Click the "+ Connection" button. A pop-up modal will appear, allowing you to enter the required details for your connection.

Step 3: Fill in the required information
Depending on the broker/datafeed you are connecting to, you may need to provide either credentials or use OAuth for authentication.

  • Name: Enter a name for this connection.

  • Broker: Select the broker where your accounts are held.

  • Authentication:

    • For some connection types, you’ll need to enter your username and password (credentials).

    • For others, such as OAuth-based brokers, you’ll be prompted to authorize the connection through the broker’s login portal.

Step 4: Establish the connection
Once all required details are entered or authorized, click the "Connect" button to establish the connection.

Step 5: Verify your connection
Your new connection will now appear in the connections list. Click on the connection to view its details, including the associated accounts and any additional information.
