ProjectX has started strictly enforcing its one-session-per-login limit, which changes how ProjectX accounts work with Tradesyncer. This article covers what changed, how to choose your lead account, and how to keep your ProjectX followers copying. It applies to every platform that runs on ProjectX.
What changed
ProjectX allows one active session per login, on one device at a time, and now ends any extra session. A lead account needs two sessions running together: the platform where you place your trades, and Tradesyncer's connection. When ProjectX closes one of them, trades stop copying.
Because of this, ProjectX accounts now work as follower accounts in Tradesyncer, and setting one as your lead is no longer available. Your ProjectX accounts can keep copying trades as followers.
Choosing a lead account
Use an account from a platform other than ProjectX as your lead. It can be a demo account. If a ProjectX account is still set as your lead, choose a different one. See How to set a lead account.
Keeping ProjectX followers copying
⚠️ Once a ProjectX account is connected to Tradesyncer, don't log into ProjectX or any ProjectX platform with that login. This includes the mobile app. Logging in opens a second session, ProjectX ends Tradesyncer's session, and trades stop copying to that account.
If a ProjectX follower stops copying
Close ProjectX. Log out of every ProjectX platform on every device, including mobile.
Reconnect in Tradesyncer. Disconnect your ProjectX connection, then connect it again.
Keep ProjectX closed. Leave the platform closed while Tradesyncer is copying to that account.
