Adding a connection links Tradesyncer to your broker, platform or datafeed. The first two steps are the same for every provider. The details in step 3 depend on which one you are adding.
Step 1: Go to the Connections page
From the main menu, click Connections to access the connections dashboard.
Step 2: Add a new connection
Click the + Connection button. A pop-up modal will appear where you can provide the required details for your connection. Choose the provider you want to add.
Step 3: Fill in the connection details
Rithmic
Name: Choose a unique connection name.
Broker/System: Select "Rithmic Paper Trading" for most demo accounts. For specific firms like Topstep or Apex, choose their dedicated system even for sim accounts. For live accounts, select the name of your prop firm or "Rithmic."
Credentials: Type your Rithmic username and password manually (do not autofill or paste).
Then click Add Connection.
dxFeed
Name: Enter a unique connection name.
Credentials: Type your dxFeed credentials manually (avoid autofill or copy-paste).
Then click Add Connection.
Note: dxFeed sometimes uses your prop firm email as your username.
Tradovate
Name: Choose a unique name for this connection.
Environment: Select "Live" for a live account, or "Demo" for simulated and demo accounts. Then click Continue.
Credentials: You'll be redirected to the Tradovate OAuth page to log in. Once completed, you'll return to Tradesyncer. We do not store your credentials.

ProjectX
ProjectX requires setup on the ProjectX side before you can add the connection in Tradesyncer.
Create a ProjectX account. Visit projectx.com, sign up with your email and complete the verification process.
Subscribe to API access. After logging in, purchase or activate an API access subscription. This allows you to link trading platforms to ProjectX, and to create and manage API keys for each account.
Log into your trading platform. Open the platform you want to link, for example TopstepX or TFDX. Make sure you're logged into the correct account.
Link the platform to ProjectX. Inside your platform, go to Settings > API > Link Account. A prompt will appear to authorize the connection with ProjectX.
Generate an API key. Once your account is linked, go to Settings within your platform and create a new API key for Tradesyncer access. Make the key visible, then manually highlight and copy it.
Add the connection in Tradesyncer. Navigate to Connections > + Add Connection and select "ProjectX" from the list of supported platforms.
Enter credentials. Enter your platform-specific username (for example your TopstepX or TFDX username), then paste the API key you copied earlier.
Confirm and finish. Click Add or Connect. Your account should now appear in your Tradesyncer list as a connected source.
Note: Please deactivate your internal ProjectX trade copier when adding your accounts to Tradesyncer.
